Impairment Training for Workplace and Highway Safety Professionals/Supervisors

A Law Enforcement Instructor will educate on drugs and alcohol, signs of use and recognition of impairment with a focus on workplace and roadway safety. Medical marijuana cardholders will discuss and demonstrate use of cannabis. Topics include dosage, strains, route of administration, impairment, and ability to work and drive after use. Students can interact with and learn from patients before shadowing law enforcement officers during the impairment assessment phase.

Course event contains two sessions. Attendees must attend both sessions to receive a certificate at the end.

Lunch & Networking 11:30am – 12:00pm (Optional, but recommended)

Session One: Impairment Education 12:00pm – 3:00pm

Session Two: Cannabis Use Workshop & Impairment Assessments 3:00pm – 6:00pm

To participate in Session Two: The Cannabis Use Workshop & Impairment Assessments, attendance at Session One: Impairment Education, is required.
