POSH is a comprehensive course covering topics which will give you a firm foundation in the fundamentals of workplace safety and health. This course curriculum with important safety concepts and emphasis on best practices, gives you the tools and confidence you need to implement and manage a safety & health program. POSH is a great introduction for anyone new to safety responsibilities and an excellent review for experienced safety practitioners.

Training Goals:

Develop critical thinking skills to effectively address safety issues
Learn to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
Gain CEUs that are accepted by BCSP and AIHA and other professional certification

Topics Include:

Record-keeping to prevent injuries and meet OSHA requirements
Developing an emergency action plan
Planning and conducting safety inspections
Impact of industrial hygiene and HazCom standards on your safety plan

Course Includes:

Extensive reference materials, including accident prevention resources.
Digital Media, including NSC’s Engineering & Technology manual, Injury Facts and other electronic resources.
Lunch and refreshments for in person classroom

POSH is a stand alone course but also a required course towards earning the National Safety Council's Advanced Safety Certificate as well as the Mid Atlantic OTI Education Center Safety & Health Specialist Certificates.
