Emergency Care Training
First Aid, CPR, and AED Training for Individuals and Organizations
Gain the knowledge and confidence to respond when medical emergencies happen. Chesapeake Region Safety Council offers National Safety Council emergency care training designed to prepare individuals, employees, and organizations with the practical skills needed to provide immediate care until professional medical help arrives.
Be Ready When Every Second Counts
Life-Saving Skills for Everyday Situations
Emergencies can happen anywhere, often before professional medical help arrives. Learning first aid and CPR equips you to recognize emergencies, provide immediate care, and help stabilize a victim until advanced medical assistance is available. The skills you gain can make a meaningful difference when every second counts.
Immediate Response
First aid is the immediate help given to a victim of injury or sudden illness by a bystander until appropriate medical help arrives or the victim is seen by a healthcare provider.
Bridge to Advanced Care
First aid is generally not all the treatment the person needs, but it helps the victim for the usually short time until advanced care begins.
Making a Difference
First aid can mean the difference between life and death, between temporary and permanent disability, between rapid recovery and long hospitalization.
Why Emergency Care Training Matters
Be Prepared for the Emergencies People Face Most Often
Most unintentional injuries occur at home or in the community, and many require immediate action before professional medical help arrives. National Safety Council First Aid, CPR, and AED training prepares individuals to respond to common emergencies, helping provide critical care until advanced medical assistance is available.
Home & Community Injuries
An estimated 70% of all unintentional injury deaths occur in the home and community, where bystanders are often the first to respond.
Leading Causes
Training prepares participants to respond to emergencies involving poisoning, falls, choking, drowning, and fires; the leading causes of unintentional injury deaths.
Be Ready to Help
NSC First Aid, CPR, and AED courses provide the practical skills and confidence needed to respond when every second counts.
