Naloxone Trainer

October 6th, 2026 2:30pm – 4pm EST
Free

Chesapeake Region Safety Council is partnering with University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) to train trainers in administering life saving naloxone (AKA Narcan).

Overdose fatalities are affecting all industries, communities, and families. Worker deaths by overdose rose from 464 in 2021 to 525 in 2022 (BLS data). The construction industry has the highest risk for opioid-related overdose death but has not embraced naloxone education and distribution to its workforce. Learn to train your workers and subcontractors to actively decrease worker opioid overdoses.
