This National Safety Council course prepares participants to respond quickly and effectively to life-threatening emergencies, providing real-world context to reinforce knowledge retention. Updated to the 2020 CPR and ECC guidelines, the course meets CDC, OSHA, and NFPA standards. Participants learn the professional rescuer’s role in medical emergencies, how to assess a victim’s condition, basic life support including rescue breathing, CPR, airway obstruction, and proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This course is ideal for healthcare providers, emergency response teams, EMS professionals, firefighters, police, paramedics, lifeguards, athletic trainers, and medical assistants seeking to strengthen their emergency response skills.
