OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030), requires employers to safeguard employees who face potential occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM). If there is any chance you might encounter blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM), you face significant health risks. Bloodborne and airborne pathogens commonly found in the U.S. include hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV), human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and tuberculosis (TB). The National Safety Council’s Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens course helps reduce those risks by focusing on how to protect your employees from blood and airborne pathogens and what to do if an exposure occurs.

Prerequisites: None

Course Includes: Student Materials and refreshments
