Do you know what the requirements are to submit an Accident Prevention Plan to USACE? In this course you will learn how to prepare a site-specific APP – a detailed plan that addresses the management processes that will be used to prevent hazards from being present in all phases of the contract.

As outlined in EM 385-1-1, an APP is a safety and health policy and program document that is contract or job specific and is in integral part of the planning process. Writing a successful Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) are key elements to working on a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract.

Topics Include an APP checklist:

  • Background Information
  • Statement of Safety and Health Policy
  • Project Organization
  • Subcontractors and Suppliers
  • Training
  • Safety and Health Inspections
  • Accident Reporting
  • Required Plans
  • Risk Management Processes
  • Personnel Qualifications
  • Safety Data Sheets

Course Includes: Student materials, lunch and refreshments
