This training program is intended to provide entry level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities and how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter.
Topics include but not limited to:
- Introduction to OSHA
- Walking and Working Surfaces
- Fall Protection
- Exit Routes and Emergency Action Plans
- Electrical Safety
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Hazard Communication
- Machine Guarding
- Materials Handling and Storage
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Permit-Required Confined Spaces
- Lockout/Tagout
- Forklift Safety
Prerequisite: None
Course Includes: Student Materials, lunch and refreshments, Certificate of Completion and an OSHA 10 hour for General Industry card. Card issued for this course includes QR codes for quick verification on-site or elsewhere. Cards are mailed about 6 weeks after completion.
