This course is ideal for maritime workers and supervisors, and anyone involved in the Shipyard employment, Marine Terminals or Longshoring. Learn the importance of OSHA in providing a safe and healthful workplaces. Recognize how management plays a role in creating a healthy and safe work environment through safety and health programs, worksite analysis and controls to identify and prevent potential hazards. Attendees get a comprehensive look at the policies, procedures, and standards covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1915-1917. Topics included in this course: Introduction to OSHA, Walking and Working Surfaces, PPE, Fall protection/scaffolding, Confined Spaces, LOTO, HAZCOM.
Upon completion, students will receive a certificate and a plastic OSHA 30hr for maritime card. All materials are included.
