Powered Operated Hand Tools – Chainsaw Safety

This course is designed to introduce students on how to safely use power operated tools in order to perform day to day tasks with a focus on chainsaws. Students wil learn how to plan and react if there is an emergency using power hand tools. In addition, students will be able to define specific power operated hand tools, review Person Protective Equipment (PPE), hazards associated with power hand tools, chainsaw mechanisms, preventing and Eliminating chainsaw hazards, emergency retreat paths and tree felling techniques.
