Professional Truck Driver Instructor (5th edition eLearning)

This National Safety Council eLearning Instructor Authorization Course prepares participants to become authorized to teach the NSC Professional Truck Driver program. This self-paced, web-based course combines best-practice facilitation techniques and scenario-based training to guide instructors in delivering defensive driving content effectively. Participants learn how to teach truck drivers to recognize hazards, manage common driving situations—including speed, right-of-way, following distance, lane changes, passing, and more—and avoid collisions and traffic violations. The vehicle-specific course can be delivered in three or four hours, offering flexibility to tailor content to training goals. Instructors gain the skills to motivate drivers to adopt safe driving behaviors and attitudes, ensuring practical application in real-world driving conditions.
