This course is designed to train students on the safe use of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP). Students will be provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure they can operate a MEWP safely back at their workplace. In accordance with the following standards: 29CFR 1910 Subpart N, 1926 Subpart L, ANSI A92, B56, and A10 students will learn Inspection of potential work areas for hazards, Operator Training, Operator familiarization, Equipment Terminology (MEWP Group, MEWP Type), Equipment Pre-start Inspection, Safe operating practices, Operator, User, and Owner Responsibilities, Fall Protection and Understand the latest ANSI Standards and how they relate to OSHA Standards. The following PPE is required for students that wish to operate the training equipment: Hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, personal fall arrest system and safety vest. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate. All materials are included. Minimum student contact hours: 6.5
