This 3 day 24-hour course is designed for facility and site supervisors who must also serve as the competent person required by EM385-1-1 Army Corp of Engineers requirements. The training provides detailed coverage of fall prevention and protection, roles of the worker, building a fall protection system, pre-use, and competent person inspection, and recognizing evaluating and controlling the risks or hazards. As requested by the USACE this course covers Section 1, 21, 22 & 24 in the EM 385-1-1. This course inludes a hands on demonstration of fall protection equipment and rescue equipment. Participants will walk away with the knowledge and qualifications to be deemed the competent person on a government site per the standards of EM 385 1-1. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate. All materials are included. Minimum student contact hours: 24
