Our Whole Worker Health –  Fit for Duty course will provide participants with an overview of the CDC/NIOSH Total Worker Health (TWH) approach. The fundamentals of TWH are a practical starting point for employers, workers, labor representatives, and other professionals interested in implementing workplace safety and health programs. 

Students will learn to assess an employee’s physical, mental and emotional capabilities and competency to perform their task safely. Topics covered will include stress /fatigue, nutrition, physical activity, wellness, substance misuse, heat illnesses, and cold stress.

Defining Elements:

  • Demonstrate leadership commitment to worker safety and health at all levels of the organization.
  • Design work to eliminate or reduce safety and health hazards and promote worker well-being.
  • Promote and support worker engagement throughout program design and implementation.
  • Ensure confidentiality and privacy of workers.
  • Integrate relevant systems to advance worker well-being.

Course Fee: $265.00 for Members, $345.00 for Non-Members

This is a required course toward earning the Whole Worker Health Certificate.
