This program builds on the foundation established in Part I – Risk Management – What It Is and How It Works for You.
This second in our series will first touch on an overview of available risk management techniques and then focus on risk financing methods. We will explore:
- Risk retention – active and passive
- Cash Assets
- Financing arrangements and Lines of Credit
- Deductibles
- Stop Loss
Following the risk financing discussion, we address numerous methods of risk transfer. We will then dig into the primary insurance coverages and how they can be structured to efficiently protect your business. Topics will include the insurance contract, common issues including coverage gaps, and effective pricing techniques. Broker and carrier selection, along with proposal basics and comparisons, is included. Policy rating and insurance audits will also be addressed. We will then focus on claims management and what to expect and how to prepare and address insurance claims for the common insurance lines
