SUMMARY:Electrical Safety Trainer
DESCRIPTION:Our Whole Worker Health – Ready to Work course will provide participants with an overview of the CDC/NIOSH Total Worker Health (TWH) approach. The fundamentals of TWH are a practical starting point for employers\, workers\, labor representatives\, and other professionals interested in implementing workplace safety and health programs. \n \nStudents will learn to assess an employee’s physical\, mental\, and emotional capabilities and competency to perform their task safely. Topics covered will include stress\, fatigue\, nutrition\, physical activity\, wellness\, substance misuse\, cold stress\, and heat illness with an overview of the Maryland Heat Stress Standard. \n \nDefining Elements: \n\nDemonstrate leadership commitment to worker safety and health at all levels of the organization.\nDesign work to eliminate or reduce safety and health hazards and promote worker well-being.\nPromote and support worker engagement throughout program design and implementation.\nEnsure confidentiality and privacy of workers.\nIntegrate relevant systems to advance worker well-being.\n\nPrerequisites:  None \nCourse Includes: Student materials\, lunch and refreshments \n \nThis is a required course toward earning the Whole Worker Health Certificate.
