SAFETY AND HEALTH SPECIALIST CERTIFICATE

Chesapeake Region Safety Council has earned its high quality reputation through the many training courses and certificate programs we offer. As an OSHA Training Institute Education Center we offer Safety and Health Specialist and Construction Safety and Health Specialist Certificates. The Certificates are awarded by the Md-Atlantic OSHA Training Institute Education Center

Employers that participate in these certificate programs gain safety specialists who can save them money through fewer lost-time injuries, fewer fines and citations, and cost-effetive responses to regulatory requirements.

OSHA 501 - Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry

  • OSHA 521 - Osha Guide to Industrial Hygiene or National Safety Council Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene


  • OSHA 2045: Machinery and Machine Guarding Standards
    This course will introduce students to various types of common machinery and related safety standards. Students will be able to recognize hazards created by points of operation, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks, and alternatives to achieve abatement.

  • OSHA 3095: Electrical Standards
    This course is designed to provide the student with a survey of OSHA’s electrical standards and the hazards associated with electrical installations and equipment.
